Some of you know I applied to be in the audience for the Martha Stewart Show audience for today's engaged couples' episode and we were chosen. I was teaching for a half day with the intention of leaving at 9:40 (when you teach hs that is virtually a half of day). Problem was, i got held up and Joe met me at the school at 10:30 and our train was leaving at 10:40 and 5 minutes from the school plus i bought the tickets at 6:30 am...no problem right??? WRONG! Joe didn't pick up any type of food or water so by this point i hadn't eaten or had even a sip of water in over 5 hrs and i knew we wouldnt have enough time to stop and grab anything. So we made a mad dash...missed the train. Tried to get ahead of the train just enough to catch it. Needless to say at Babylon Station we decided to drive in. So by this point: got out of work late, missed train, no food. Got a delicious turkey sandwich from 7-11. Started to drive in. Called about my teacher certification only to get the run around for a second day in a row. Had to withdraw from the 2 classes i enrolled in because the certification department cant tell me for three months if they are right or not. Lost my mind. Got upset, started crying out of frustration. I do my job(s)...why cant others???? Then right when i stop crying i get a phone call from the garment district in new york city that due to the Chinese New Year, the order for the rhinestone buckles i ordered for our invites will now not be in till the end of February, beginning of March. So another thing added to the pile. Then we get stuck in major traffic because of a bad accident. As we're driving through Manhattan (in my truck mind you), we got rear ended by a cab. Now i am plain disgusted!!!! Luckily there was no damage and we were fine. We park our car and run to the stage, making a quick stop at Rite Aid so i can buy eyeliner to fix the makeup that got smeared during my cry fest. Went to Martha, and had a fun time. We were in the last row and the last 2 seats. Got some amazing giveaways including a DVD camcorder/digital camera/mp3 player, a $100 Wedgewood China gift certificate, The new Martha Stewart Wedding Cake Book, a huge bottle of designer perfume, a bridal magazine, and a photo locket. Things were looking up! After we left, we went to the parking garage (where we park about 2-3 times a week for Rangers' games). We're waiting for my car....5 minutes goes by, 10 minutes goes by, 15 minutes goes by (it usually takes less that 5 minutes to get our car). One of the parking attendents approaches me to let me know that they moved my car and now they cant find it. At this point i started laughing. This day has been so ridiculous i just had to laugh. I went home (we actually made amazing time coming home) and funny enough, a few hours later, luckily i am remembering all of the fun we had today and barely any of the drama. Pics are posted and the episode is airing Friday!!! Check us out!

The buckles i got are from a store called the Margola Corp. Their adderss is 48 West 37th street. The shape is rectangle and the size fits a 5/8' ribbon which looked best on our invite. It came out to $180 for 144 of them. Ask for Lorraine. She is wonderful! We went to about 20 stores and she was by far the most reasonable!! HTH!

I know you had a sour experience but call and see when Lorraine is there. She pulled out EVERY buckle for us and they were the most reasonable by over $1.00/buckle. The closest we got to that was $2.06 a buckle. The # is 212-695-1115. She also called me three times to update me on the order and how long it would take. She was a true pleasure.

That's so awsm!!! Best of luck!!! I love the way they look. I found similar ones at walmart that were like $0.90 each in packs of 3 so it was almost $3 per pack and they were plastic. These are so much nicer. FM and let me know how you make out!!!
