Massapequa

My FH and I are in the process of purchasing a house in North Massapequa. We're going to find out this weekend if the lady selling the house is going through with the sale.Long story! I was wondring if anyone here is from Massapequa and can tell me a bit more about the area??

Re: Massapequa

I have two cousins and some friends who live in the Massapequa area - North Massapequa, actually. Also, when we were house hunting, we spent *alot* of time looking in that area. All of the Massapequas are nice - Mass Park and Biltmore Shores being the nicest and most desirable (read: most expensive), and East Massapequa the least desirable.

North Massapequa is great as long as you're not in Farmingdale schools. The best school district for Massapequa is #23.

Good luck - I hope everything goes well for you!

I lived on North Pine Street in North MAssapequa for 8 years and loved the neighborhood! I do not have any children so do not know about the school district but from what I hear its very good.

Where in North Massapequa is the house?

I work in Massapequa, about 70% of my patients live in N. Mass or Mass. People that live there love it, there seems to be a real sense of community. Good luck with everything, I hope it works out great for you!

Grew up in N. Massapequa/Bethpage. School District #18 which is Plainedge. There are tons of houses for sale on my old street right off of Exit 6 of the SOB otherwise know as Elizabeth Drive
My brother and I didn't attend public schools because they ****ed then and are good now in the district. We went to St. James and then to St. Anthony's.
The neighborhood is going through a change since many of the families have kids that are now married and are moving out. So, basically it is Grandparents or newlyweds.

You also have access to the Ronkoncoma line as well as Babylon which is great if you are a commuter

Thanx for reassuring me on the area. We're having some problems with the lady selling the house, but like I mentioned earlier, it's a long story. Hopefully tomorrow we find out. We just luv the area!
