Massapequa Park

Massapequa Park

I need your help and some honest opinions, so please FM me.

Does anyone have any opinions on this particular section of Massapequa Park:

Right by the Unqua Elementary School and a block away from the northwest corner of Marjorie Post park.

We are placing a bid on a house in that area and I am hearing mixed views, but I think the views are mixed because they don't know that particular area.

I use to live a a little further east in Massapequa then where you are looking but I think that area is awesome. I love massapequa. There are a ton of stores, your right near the mall and its a good class of people.

I think your making a good choice.

We live in Mass Park and we've only been here 2 months but we love it. It's very small townish in a way. FYI, I don't know if this matters to you or not but I'm pretty sure that where you are talking about is not technically MP, but I might be wrong. If it is, its right on the border of MP and East Mass. I dont think it would make one iota of a difference in the quality of the area and you might be better off - no MP taxes and extra rules. Lots of stuff for kids here and lots of shopping close by. Everyone raves about the schools. In fact I was just talking to someone this weekend at a wedding who lives in MP and he said the schools are so good, his one daughter had a complete turnaround in her studies over a 2 year period. He & his wife couldnt believe it.

I grew up in Massapequa too.. MHS Class of 1990. I went to Birch Lane elementary & Ames Jr. High..

It's an excellent neighborhood, schools are one of the best. I've moved out of the area a few yrs ago, but my parents still live in the Biltmore Shores area south of merrick road by Saint Rose church.

The location your looking to buy a house is excellent. I dont think any part of Massapequa is bad. Marjorie Post park is one of the greatest parks. The playground is great for kids and the pool area is perfect for the summer. I grew up playing in that park as a child..

You have all the shopping close by and the train station is not too far if you commutte to the city.

I give Massapequa A+++++++++++++

I wish I could afford to buy a house in the area, but right now I cant

If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Good Luck
