Master Cleanse

Soooooo my friend just started this cleanse. It is supposed to do what all of the others do- rid your body of bad things and such. All you drink/eat is a lemonade that you make with fresh lemons, cayan peppers, and some organic syrup. I was like W T F at first because it seems nuts, but now think I want to try it. I watched this girl on YouTube that did it for 40 days!!! Her results were amazing. I would never be able to last that long- I would try for ten, but check it out if you want!

Edited because I wanted to ask if any of you have ever done something like this before and your take on it....

I went to a wedding on June 19th this year, the bride had done that, or something similar. Apparently it resulted in a golf ball sized hemorrhoid just in time for her honeymoon. Sounded horrific and ruined her HM. I will not be doing that!

My friend started four days ago and she said she feels GREAT. She said she has so much energy and can see a difference already. It just seems psychotic not to eat for so long!!! I mean I don't plan on doing it like Gwyneth Paltrow, but still.

Hmmmm thanks for the link!! This one allows you to eat... but I don't know- kind of scared of all of them. haha FH is like 'why would you need to do that?' He thinks it is silly.

I know right, 2 weeks in Italy and she had to spend the whole time carrying around one of those cushion rings to sit on! Poor girl. Her doc advised her not to go bc she needed surgery, but she wasn't giving that up! Trooper!

Oh my Lorrdddd!! I'm happy she still went on her honeymoon, but the poor thing!!!!!!

oh that's horrible! i actually considered it for a half second after seeing this youtube video but i think i'll just do it the old fashion way after reading this!! cut down on the portions and exercise!

My Mom did this she lost like 10 pounds in 2 week I think but its crazy she didnt eat or drink anything but the mixture and I have seen the mixture it doesnt look like it taste very good

It is crazy!!!! I heard that it really didn't taste bad- like a spicy lemonade. I know that if I didn't like the way it tasted, I would NOT be able to do it. I am not too concerned with loosing weight, but I just wanted something to rejuvenate me and heard that cleanses were good to do once in awhile. I think I may wait for my friend to finish and see what she thinks.

OMG! I did that cleanse for like 2 weeks!!! the drink is actually pretty good and u really don't feel hungry plus u lose weight!

Beleive it or not, u even feel energized. The only thing that was a pain on the neck is that u have to bring a big bottle with u everywhere 'cause that's ur only meal and u have to explain to eveybody what it is 'cause people curiosity is unbeleivable lolol

Why not just a colonic at on those clinic /spa? People seem rejuvenate from them.

That is what my friend said!! She said she feels awesome and sleeps great!!! I was thinking about the questions too!!! SO annoying to deal with, but whatever. I would just try not to make a big deal of it. Only thing is how are you supposed to get out of 'eating' when you go out to dinner. That is why I am going to wait to start it if I do decide to do it. I have a dinner party coming up and will look like a fool if I sat there and passed on food hahaha
