OK so FH & I have picked out our wedding bands, although both of them look great they are not matching. Aren't the bands suppose to be matching or do you just get what you like & matches with your engagement ring, The band I picked looks great with my ER but......

They don't have to match each other...i think years ago that was the style and custom...mine & DH's are completely different

I don't think they have to match, its all up to you and your FH and the styles that you like. Me and my FH don't plan on getting matching rings, our styles are completely different on the wedding bands that we want for ourselves

Ours don't match at all, not even the metal. Its a matter of personal taste. The only thing similar is our wedding date engraved inside.
(the top etched one is mine.)

It didn't matter to us to have matching rings. I got something that went well with my e-ring and he found something that he loved (to ensure that he wears the damn thing!)

The wedding band has to look good with your e-ring. It doesn't have to match your fh band.

We got matching wedding bands.
But it is totally up to you....

my parents have matching (well my mom recently got a new band) but i think that was the trend for awhile.......they don't 'have' to be anything though - mine is platinum and diamonds and DH's is white gold - so they are totally different.....my SIL and BIL have matching and they got married recently - she has her Mom's wedding band (which was passed down to her) and they had a band made for my BIL to match - his is the same design bigger and thicker.....its really nice and i love their bands....but for us we went with different styles...

you certainly don't have to match. My ring has princess cut diamonds around it, FH would never wear that, so he is getting a plain ring. But, back to your question, no you don't have to match.

I don't think that they need to match. As long as the band compliments your E-ring. My FH and I will not have matching bands b /c he prefers yellow gold and I love white gold.

that's just what we wound up doing. mine is white gold and he wanted a plain gold (yellow) band and he is not a jewelry wearer. so he has nice ring in yellow with a bit of a design and I have an almost matchiing white gold pair. - -
it works, he's happy and wears his ring. that's what is most important.

Thanks sooooo much ladies I thought we were going to look like odd balls w/o the same band on, I feel much better now I'll try and post pics of them when I get home. Anybody else have pics of there bands

I really wanted matching wedding bands too. But I got over it, I wanted bling & he didn't want a single diamond on his. He wanted a matte/no shine ring & that's not what I wanted. (=

Wedding bands do not have to match...Fh and I chose very different rings.
I think it's your own personal choice if you want them to match; you don't have to though.
FH and I saw matching rings, his had a plain center, diamond etched on the sides. Mine would be the same, but with some diamonds in the center. I guess you can say they sort of match?
They were the first ones we saw so we didn't buy them. I wanted to look around.
