Maternity wedding attire question...

Maternity wedding attire question...

I have a few months to find something...but I want it to be NICE since DH is KIND OF in the wedding. They have [no lie] like 12 groomsmen and bridesmaids....and DH has been suckered into ushering [since none of the college friends made the cut...the groom went nuts asking cousins and high school friends he rarely sees that he felt obligated...and well, my DH is lame-o kind that wont say no.]

SO....I will be nearing [the beginning of] my 9th month when this wedding takes place. I need help on where to look/go for a dress. I'm hoping those who had pregnant bridesmaids can help out! I can't really order something months in advance as I might be big as a house and I might not. I need to be able to order closer to the wedding date. While I want something nice, I don't want to spend a freaking fortune either!

TIA

Re: Maternity wedding attire question...

I am in my 8th month and although I have not gained a ton of weight (25 pounds), I am a weeble wobble.

David's Bridal has maternity bridesmaids dresses that are cute.

I would also try Mimi Maternity. They have a good selection of dresses. Also try Macy's maternity dept. They carry Mimi stuff & Motherhood which is a little less expensive. (also try www.motherhood.com)

My biggest suggestion to you would be to find comfortable flats to wear. You will not be able to wear heels at 9 months. My feet ACHE all the time and my balance is way off.

Hope This Helps! Good luck.

I was at my brother in laws wedding 9 months pregnant - got my dress from Old Navy - it was really cute....

and I 2nd the shoe issue - balance is way off, and feet swell like balloons that late in the game - get some cute flip flops to go with that dress!

Hi Sweetie:

I had the same problem when my FH's brother had his eparty. It was very fancy and I couldnt find a decent maternity dress ANYWHERE! I finally found one at Destination Maternity in Huntington.

Here is the website:

http://www.destinationmaternity.com/store.asp

They have all different price ranges from Pea in the Pod (pricey) to Mimi and Motherhood and other brands. I found a really nice dress here for $65!

Good luck! I feel your pain!

i agree. i wouldn't think you would have to order a dress- just look at the regular maternity stores like mimi, motherhood, etc- even the maternity sections at macys or other department stores....

I'm almost 7 months now and Id say if you want to feel sexy (which is hard to do I know) look at a pea in the pod. They have some really great things so does MIMI maternity, but there all part of the same chain.
