Re: Matron vs Maid of honor
idk. my sis has a kid and she has been with the father foreverrrrrr.......
so i would think she falls under 'matron' status. but i could be sooooo wrongggggg with etiquette sometimes

Matron is correct if she's married - unfortunately - and yes - it does make people sound old.

no some ppl hate the name matron. FH's cousin just got married and she referred to her sister as Maid of Honor in the program and everything even though shes like 39 and married with 3 children.

Re: Matron vs Maid of honor
Matron is Married, Maid is not, just like the other girls said, I have two sisters one married, one not and I am making them both Maid's as per their request because they thought Matron sounds old and farty lol.

Re: Matron vs Maid of honor
My Maid of Honor, just got engaged last Saturday, and will be married before the summer is over. So who I picked to be my Maid, will be my Matron when I get married in September.
