Mattress help-Kingsdown

DH and I are looking into purchasing a new mattress and I was wondering if anyone has any experience - good or bad - with Kingsdown at Sleepys. We really liked the way it felt in the store, but just wanted to know any info on the long term.
Thank you!

Re: Mattress help-Kingsdown

i know nothing about the mattress but sleepys tried to rip me and DW off big time...

i found my bed,( comparable model) for nearlly 400 less. then they had to nerve to say, they couldn't match and beat it with the same model and would give me a different brand. Total BS!!! i didnt buy it, but i can save so much money if they honar their stupid policy

shop around is my advice

I just got a Kingsdown from Sleepy's and I love it! I had a very good matress on my old bed which we switched to the guest room, but the Kingdsdown is so much better.

I really bargained with them in Sleepy's. It was a hot Sunday and they had no other customers so I feel like I actually scre*ed them! Play hardball with any bedding store as they have a big margin to work with

Thanks!
I think the whole mattress buying thing is such a scam. I get Consumer Reports and recently they had an article about how they can tell you these things about price matching, but since they all have their own names and little add ons, they can say that they aren't the same and don't have to honor it. And the whole thing feels like buying a car to me - I feel like were just playing a stupid price game. GRRRR I am so frustrated right now - maybe we'll stick with what we have.

IrishBride, could you tell me which model you have? We are looking at the - I think it's the DormoDiognostic ones - Silver #21. We had originally put a deposit on the Rhapsody, but after looking again, we didn't know if we really liked it that much. DH has been trying to find info today online and found a bunch of negative comments for UltraPlush on Epinions, but who knows really? Cause there seemed to be a bunch of good ones too.

Thanks again.

To be honest, I don't know the exact model but it is the Body Sense type, not the plush. We wanted a really firm bed and I didn't want a pillowtop. I would avoid anything too plush as it is quicker to lose the support as I learnt from my last one.

I have a kingsdown too and we love it. It was the only thing we bought with our wedding gift money. I'm not sure what model it is, but it's a double pillow top and it's HUGE but we like it that way because the dog can no longer jump up on the bed.
