Re: mattress reconmendations
I've always had good luck with Stearns & Foster but they are a little more expensive I think than Sealy/Serta/Simmons and pretty much have fixed prices so can't price compare and have say Sleepys beat a price like you can with the other 3. I hear that Kingsdown is comfy too but have never tried. I think that is different consturction maybe part foam and didn't want to take chance with it not lasting. but you might want to check that too.

Re: mattress reconmendations
I bought mine via Costco.com BUT if I had to do it over again, I'd check out QUALITY air mattresses - I heard they are great.
I still love mine: Sealy Posturepedic 'Sanford', Pillow top & never has to be flipped/rotated.

Re: mattress reconmendations
I'm obsessed with my bed.
Stearns and Foster - Plaza edition.
Its like sleeping on a clouddddddddd.
I think investing in a good mattress is one of the most important things you can do! I LOVE sleeping - so I knew I wanted something thats going to last me!

FH's grandfather purchased us a Sealy Posturpedic one- haven't slept on it yet, but it feels nice!!
FH's grandfather is the best- his wife and Matt's grandmother, passed away last month, yet he still wanted to buy me my shower gift from her! so sweet!!!

I have a King Koil from Rockaway Bedding (which I think might be going out of business!). However, I got it about a year ago and it's still as comfy as the day I brought it home. I really like it.
Oh my mom has one of those Sleep Number beds, where you can lower and raise the air inside the mattress on either side to your comfort level. It's fun to play around with, but is definitely comfortable as well. Just another idea!

Re: mattress reconmendations
definately try out the new Vera Wang mattresses.. THEY ARE AMAAAAAAAAZING.
I don't remember the name of our mattress, but it has little hearts embroidered into it..
and surprisingly, the mattress was very affordable.

Re: mattress reconmendations
I have a kingsdown from sleepys and so does 2 of my friends. It's cool because at sleepys that make you lay on this computer thing and they find your pressure points and the best mattress for you.

Re: mattress reconmendations
I went to Sleepy's and found something that I liked. I talked to the guy to see what price he would give me. Then I decided to call 1-800-MATTRESS and told them what I got quoted. They gave me the same mattress for about $50 cheaper AND I had it delivered and set up two hours later!

Re: mattress reconmendations
I've used Sleepys and plan to use them again when FH and I get a new bed. I would say the lowest you want to go for a good mattress is $500 for a Queen. If you or a family member has used Sleepys before, give them that name for the order and it will be less than if you were a first time customer.
