Maui or Kauai??

We are planning our 10 day honeymoon. Spending 4 nights in Oahu, but cannot decide on which island to spend our other 4 nights. For the second half of our honeymoon, we will definitely be looking for someplace that is geared towards adults, that has enough for us to do but that is more laid back and quiet.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Been to Hawaii twice (having a bridesmaid whose lived there the last 7 years) and I'd def say Maui, it's honeymooners paradise. So unbelievably perfect!

Re: Maui or Kauai??

We are going in November so I am expecting less 'families' in general. Are the resorts usually crowded there or are they generally large enough not to feel like your on top of one another and noisy? Thats our biggest concern...

Re: Maui or Kauai??

We did Oahu and then Maui. I found that there was so much to do in Maui and if I wanted to take it easy I would have gone to the Caribbean.

We went in June which is the busy season. I did not feel overwhelmed with too many families. Like any resort, people are constantly coming and going from the pool area so I never felt it was over crowded. We always found 2 chairs together.

Maui or Kauai?? - Long Island Weddings

I would actually say Kauai. It's quieter and more romantic. I'm doing Maui and I chose that because there's a little more hustle and bustle, which is what we want because we can't sit still so we couldn't do something too quiet and relaxing.

If you want quiet and laid back Kauai would be perfect! If you are looking for night life you will not find that on Kauai but is so incredibly beautiful and romantic!

Maui or Kauai?? - Long Island Weddings

It depends on what you're looking for. We stayed on Maui and Kauai and honestly - there is NOTHING to do on Kauai except for relax, which is perfect if that's what you want. Maui has so much to do!

Maui or Kauai?? - Long Island Weddings

I'm planning to do about 6 nights in Maui then 3 nights in Kauai. I've heard what everyone has already said, that there is so much to do in Maui and that it is very relaxing and more quite in Kauai.
