Maui or Kauai Recomendations

Has anyone been to either island? We booked our honeymoon for 5 nights maui / 4 nights Kauai and I'm looking for some good places to eat and some fun things to do.

I looooved Maui and Kauai...

In Kauai you must go to: Sushi Blues, Duke's, Bali Hai...

I was only in Maui for a few days...I remember eating casually there...

We went. Pics in album! LOL, but for the life of me I don't remember any of the places we eat at. Just ask you hotel for recommendations and tell them what price range you are looking in. Where are you staying? We stayed at the Hyatt on both islands. You are going to love it! If you have any other questions, FM me!

In Maui we loved Mama's Fish House, so yummy!!! Our best meal in Hawaii. We tried to go to Nick's Fishmarket as well but, we waited too late to make a reservation. We were only in Maui 3 nights and we did the Old Lahaina Luau one night so we don't have a lot of suggestions! And the other place we ate was good but Mamas blew it away.

In Kauai we loved the Plantation, Tidepools at the Hyatt, Duke's Canoe Club (although the one in Waikiki was nicer), Pizzetta (pizza and basic Italian food) and Lapperts Ice Cream.

Definitely take advantage of the conceirge service at the resort you are staying at, they are so helpful!

I second Mama's Fish House...it's amazing! Sansei Sushi in Kapalua was excellent. For a casual type of meal and some good drinks and a fantastic view in Lahaina, we really loved Bubba Gumps.

If you are doing the Road to Hana trip, about 3/4 of the way there, there is a taco stand on the side of the road...it's GREAT and cheap

Have a great time, we LOVED Maui and we're going back for 2 weeks in February! Can't wait!

Ahh, Maui....
Mama's Fish House
Spago and Ferraro's at the Four Seasons. Both places are delicious and absolutely gorgeous at sunset, especially Ferraro's. As the sun goes down, they light the torches, and you're overlooking the Pacific.....

Where are you staying while on Kauai?
( Im from there, so I'd be happy to suggest things)

The road to Hana to the seven pools on Maui is a very long windy drive. Its very pretty , but if you get car sick I wouldnt recommened it..LOL. A drive along the west coast is awesome.
Sunrise at Haleakala is unreal!!!

Nick's Fishmarket in Maui. If you go you have to get the Strawberries Flambe. (sp.?) It was the most delicious dessert I have ever eaten. Dinner was also incredible!
