Have any of you heard of the Marriott's Maui Ocean Club or the Westin Ka'anapali Ocean Resort ? We have the choice of staying at either, but I don't really know much about them. I know the Marriott looks like it has an amazing pool, but the Westin is new and the rooms are awesome (decorated like I would love to do my house!!) THanks!

Re: Maui resort question
We stayed at the Maui Hyatt in Kaanapali Beach and the Marriott Ocean Club was right next door. The location is perfect and from the outside the pool is really nice. All the hotels, condo's,etc on Kaanapali beach share a paved walkway which is along the beachwhere you can stroll past all the different hotels. Whaler's Village is at the end (restaurants & stores) and Lahaina Village is only 5 mins away by car (a little fishing town as it was once known)- plenty of restaurants and stores to walk through.

I'm not sure, you'll have to check into. However, if I remember correctly the Westin looks fantastic online but believe it has a good percentage of little kids there and more of a family spot. Could be wrong. Nothing wrong with kids but definitely not on the honeymoon, especially if they are not yours. Your travel agent should know.

Re: Maui resort question
the westin does look awesome, but a lot of the pics i saw were just artist's sketches.... My dad is putting in for them both to exchange the time share, so we'll see what we get. I'm sure we'll love either place.

Make sure you eat at Spagos in the Four Seasons if you go to the Wailea area. It is so beautiful.
