My travel agent can get us in at the Sheraton, but to book direct they are all full during our HM time.
I can book at the Westin and get a slightly better deal than my travel agent. I usually LOVE the Westin hotels, but don't know the one in Maui.
HELP

Re: Maui Sheraton vs. Westin ??
Boy did you ask this question at a great time!! I was just there!!
It was an ordeal. I'll explain quickly. In Feb, DH booked the Hyatt on both Kauai and Maui. They lost our Maui reservation. They rebooked us (admitting their fault) in July. The DAY BEFORE our wedding, they called to say that they had to move us to the Westin, no choices for us, we were moved.
Got to the Westin. Okay hotel. Food was not so great. TONS of kids running around. Loud music playing until late into the night. Waterfalls that hotel had were so loud we couldn't sleep with the screen door open.
After our 3rd night, DH and I marched down to the Hyatt and DEMANDED A ROOM, and demanded that it be paid for. Finally we got it.
About the Sheraton, we ate dinner there one night and thought it was nice. It was quiet, relaxing. The hotel staff seemed eager to please.
BTW, DH is writing a letter to the Hyatt asking them to pay for our entire stay the the Westin since we did not enjoy ourselves there at all.

Good to know!! Everything looks so pretty on the websites but you can't measure sound or kids.
Thanks!

I don't want to say that kids at a hotel is bad. It would have been great if we were a family with kids of own, but for a couple on their honeymoon, the Westin wasn't what we were looking for. And we were paying the same rate we paid for the Hyatt but the difference in quality and service was significantly measurable in the food, the room, the staff, etc.
