Does it count if my vendors go over my maximum? If this doesn't make sense, please let me know.

Re: Maximum Guest Count
oh good question, not sure. i guess the only vendors u would need to count are band/dj and photog since they will be the only ones at the reception. i would call ur hall since each hall has different rules.

Re: Maximum Guest Count
I have to figure it out. My venue is Coindre Hall, which I rented from Suffolk and am bringing in Lessings to handle the catering, etc. It may be a little different here, but I am sure there are fire laws and that's where the max. comes from.

Re: Maximum Guest Count
funny you should mention - one of our guests took a picture of the 'this room should not exceed' sign in one of the rooms.
if you're concerned about vendors taking space in the dining area where guests will be, for our wedding the vendors ate in another room so they did not count towards max # in dining room.

Hi- I was just worried that it was over the amount of people we contracted for. How many guests did you have?

Re: Maximum Guest Count
I'm just guessing here, but I suspect the max # (for safety / fire purposes) is at least 50 higher than the max # of place settings in a room... otherwise, nothing would make sense.
of course you need a DJ, MC, photographers, waiters, and DOC in the room.... what would they do if you reach the max # with guests, refuse to serve you? it wouldn't make sense!

Re: Maximum Guest Count
There are different rooms, so the max is just for guests in the dining room. The dj/ mc will be in the ballroom and there are other rooms in the mansion so I assume they will eat in there.
You are right, it wouldn't make sense. I guess I am overthinking once again!
