I used to go to Maximus for my hair all the time. I got everything done there for prom and recently stopped going because it was kind of far from my house. Well I just called because I want to go for the wedding and the woman told me I can't set up a trial till 3 months before the wedding. I just got my first teaching job for Sept AND I will be starting my Masters in Sept. I am not very good a juggling things so I wanted to get this done ASAP...I am a little annoyed now but I am waiting for the bridal consultant to call me back...I know a lot of you girls have gone for trials already...has anyone told you you have to wait?

Re: Maximus
I was going to go T.Carlton salon and the lady was like you can't book anything until a few months before the wedding and on top of the hair trials and fees for actual hair and makeup on your wedding day they charge a $250 opening fee. I was like OK thats ridiculous forget it lol.

yes. They tell you this because they don't know if the person who works there will still be working there for your wedding.

I guess that makes sense...but people quit without warning at any time!I can't even think of what my schedule will be like 3 months before the wedding and if I will be sane enough to worry about this

I agree with you. I went for a trial anyway, made the appt pretending it's just a make-up application but I told the girl the truth. If you like the make-up artist they're usually more than willing to privately come to your house and do your make-up for your wedding. So if you're willing to do that then you can make the appt any time you like
