MAY '08 Brides...

Hey ladies,

The big day is just right around the corner and a lot still need to be done. What stuff do you have left to do in preparation for it?

ok lets see what i have left

send out invites-they're being finished up this week

buy wedding bands, we're going either tomorrow or wednesday to purchase them

purchase favors

purchase veil(i wont buy this until i go for first fitting), headpiece and earrings(i know what i am getting, so going to call up the place to purchase it so they can start making it), buy shoes(i just decided on shoes so have to go buy them now)

my dress just came in so have to go for first fittings soon

the rest are things such as menu's, programs, table numbers, place cards-i want the design team for my day of coordinator to design something so ill find out about this to have them do it

get our marriage license

and i think thats it

Here's what i have to do:

Final fitting
Purchase veil, bracelet, headpiece
Get unity candle/votive
Marriage LIcense
Wedding Bands
Do Programs, Menus, Placecards, Table Numbers (all DIY i think)
Hair trial

hmm.. not sure what im forgetting cause i dont have my list in front of me.

yeah dont worry. It seems like alot when you write it down but its only a few things and we have 2 months. After next week, ill have my invites out and our wedding bands. After that i'll schedule my first fitting and within 2 weeks ill have my veil, shoes, headpiece and earrings. Then ill see if they can do the menu's programs, table numbers and all that so i wont have to worry. After that for the month of april ill basically have favors left so not bad at all.

Just figure out when you finish things off and it will make you feel better to know they'll be done soon and what you'll have after that

oh yeah working on all that. I am hoping to pay off my RH in april instead of 10 days before FH and i went down the list to figure out which vendors we have left to pay

no need, it will all work out. I am actually feeling good with my list. If you look at other may brides, many of us have the same things left. They will all get done

I think I am in pretty good shape!

Outstanding Items:

- Confirm music for DJ
- Seating chart (invites went out last week so I can't do this for a few weeks)
- Make appt to see sample CP
- Confirm location for pre-ceremony pics
- Second fitting on 4/12
- FH gift (no idea!!!)
- Finalize ceremony details (doing that next week)
- Shop for HM clothes
- Marriage license

Not sure if I'm forgetting anything but most of the major stuff is done - except final payments!!!

-DIY CD favor
-flower girl shoes
-finalize music
-finalize menu and other RH details
-pay for everything!!!

-2 more fittings
-buy shoes and bra
-buy veil and earrings
-one more hair and makeup trial
-OOT boxes
-finish gifts for Bridal Party
-Gifts for parents
-pick all music
-finalize centerpieces

-DIY Menu, programs, table numbers and place cards
-Seating arrangements
-Marriage license

I see that we are all basically in the same boat. BTW, what gifts are you ladies giving to your bridal party? I don't know where to start with this.

Many little things... but here are the big ones:
* Wedding Rings
* Have all GM submit fittings
* RD invites
* DIY's - menus, programs, oot bags, favors
* Fittings (2nd one Wed)
* All final meetings
* Plan ceremony
* Wedding license

I know I'm forgetting stuff... but those are what's on my mind!!!
