May 2003 brides
is everyone having flowers for their centerpieces? Have you considered which ones? I have an appointment 10/5 with the florist, and I would like to have some ideas before I go in. I would like tall, not not expensive. I love this look, but I expect it is out of my budget (on 22 ish tables)

I am also having tall centerpieces.2 dozen white or ivory roses, with 5 peach Asiatic lilies in each centerpiece.
Do you know what you want to pay?

Re: May 2003 brides
Not really, I originally thought $1,000 but now I know thats unreasonable. Now I just don't know what to expect. This is the first florist. he is local. I am also going to look at the Flower Den, but wanted to start local to get an idea of prices. These flowers are from the florist I am meeting on Saturday, and the photo is actually from my reception hall. We saw him setting these up and asked for a business card

Re: May 2003 brides
Those centerpieces are beautiful, I must agree they are probably expensive. For any tall centerpieces, I believe for 22 tables, you will most likely surpass the $1000 mark before you even get to bouquets
Maybe they will work out a deal with you, but I'd be prepared to spend at least $2000. Centerpieces can make you or break you.
Did I send you my package price list?

Re: May 2003 brides
No I don't. I think I have some photos on my home PC that were emailed to me, but for someone who uses the PC all day, I am completely useless. If I found a photo, I don't know how to minimise it. Actually, I'm just too lazy

Re: May 2003 brides
I'm thinking about copying a friend completely...she did tall centerpieces that spiraled up and had three votive candles tucked in each spiral. It was topped off with roses. Very very beautiful! The candles just made the room glow.

Re: May 2003 brides
I'm getting tall centerpieces as well. I'm not planning on having 22 tables though. I'm leaning more towards 16 tables give or take. If you check out a few different florists you can compare the prices. I've seen the tall centerpieces ranging from $80-$100 per centerpiece. I think it really depends on where you are getting them from, what type of flowers you are using, and how many flowers. I'm getting 3 dozen roses and some filler in a tall glass pedestal with a floating orchid in it. I'm not too sure how much each of them are. I'm using Burton's and they don't charge you by the type of flower there and they are really reasonable with prices.

I am beginning of May and we're having low but full centerpieces, they'll include peonies(which I had to have) light pink, white and will also throw in deep colored black beauty roses. The BMs and my bouquet will consist of peonies also, I love those flowers!!
