You have plenty of time.

Just enjoy looking around/searching a lot of pictures to find the best things you want.

I have nothing yet either. We did check out a few halls but we haven't put money down on anything. I wont bother looking for my dress until I buy myself a treadmill and lose 50lbs.(I gained from having two babies back to back) I just keep surfing this site and looking for ideas.

I've been engaged since May and I have NOTHING booked yet.

But, we went to our last food tasting last night and I think we're going to book Chateau La Mer. Yay!

We have lot of time ladies.

Update:

We finally booked our hall 'Carlyle on the Green' and we also booked our band (Renegade)! Things are finally coming together :)

Other than that I have done nothing. Our engagement party is this weekend, so once that is over, I will start planning again!

How are all you other May 2006 brides doing?

First hello to the other May 2006 brides! I'm so happy to have come across this thread...
I'm starting to get freaked out about choices and slowly time is dwindling down! My next big projects are DJ and Photographer...All I hear is how hard it is to find a photographer for less then $5000 so I just procrastinate! Has anyone visited booked with any that do great candids and offer the coffee-table album for under $5K??

Congrats! All I have booked is my hall. With the holidays here, I'm thinking I'm not going to book any more vendors until January. Too darn busy. What about everyone else?

I've booked the hall and have meetings planned with two bands....I expect to have the band booked by the end of January. I want to back off after that, but FH is taking the bar in July and I feel like we need to do as much as possible ASAP b/c once he starts really studying, he'll be out of commision until August :(

I just got engaged on Christmas Eve and I am already feeling the stress of planning.

4/06 sounds so far off but it really is not! I am happy to find this thread so I can keep up with everyones plans.

The only thing I have booked is the Dj.....DynamicBeat, and thats only because the owner is a friend of ours. There are still so many things to do.

oh wow, i can't believe so many of you ladies already have halls/djs/etc. i'm hoping to have my wedding on 5/21/06 and got engaged on 12/22/04. however, i've got nothing!! and worst of all my mom keeps telling me to stop talking about halls that i have time. NO I DON'T!!

i live near boston so i'm not in LI on weekends often but this coming weekend i'm checking out crest hollow country club, woodbury country club, swan club, fox hollow, hamlet. hopefully i'll be able to decide on a place this weekend.

anyway, congrats to you all and good luck with all the planning.

Hey, you'll be my date twin. You have some time but not loads of time. Do your research - http://www.weddingfacilitiesandservices.com/ is a great place to start. Form a list of places you'd like to visit, make your appointments, ask LOTS of questions, and before you know it, you'll find your place.

We're going to book the Bayview House at Captain Bill's this week!
I feel so bad for anyone that was gwtting married this weekend, all that planning and they proably did not have many people come.
