Hi All! I am new to this site! I am holding the Vineyard Caterers by Riverhead for a May 2010 wedding. I loved it upon seeing it! Does anyone have any local vendors or rabbis that they can recommend or hair/makeup people that are in the area of Riverhead or would travel to Riverhead on the day of the wedding? Any tips/advice would be great!

I have no advice on Rabbis or hair/makeup people, but I'm so happy to see another 2010 Vineyard Bride. I thought I was the only one!!!

we booked the hilton garden inn (or something like that) for our guests, the rooms are very nice, and the rates were great. right in riverhead.
you may also want to consider east wind for rooms, but they are more pricey. you and your fiance may want to stay there the night before or of the wedding, very romantic. and there is a spa onsite, so you can get hair and makeup done there.

thanks! What rate did they quote you at the Hilton? That hotel got all good reviews online and it's only 6 miles away from the place.

My wedding is in early December, so I think we got the lowest rates (around $119 I think). The Best Western quoted $129, and they are definitely not as nice, but they do provide a shuttle bus if you have enough guests. I know there is no chance of you getting as low as I got for your summer date, but if you try now, more than a year ahead, in this bad economy, you will definitely be able to negotiate.

I'm getting married at VC on 5/23 this year! I'm using the Bridal Touch by Elena (an LIW vendor) for hair and makeup. She's traveling to the hotel in Riverhead the morning of (we're getting ready at the Best Western East End). Good luck with your planning!
