May brides

my wedding is end of may. when should i start ordering invites and send out ? tia

Usually 8-10 weeks before is when you should send them out. You should have them in no less than 3 months before so, you have plenty of time to address them.

We're going to start looking for ours in a month or two. I want them ordered by January to mail them out by end of February. HTH!

we are currently looking now and are probable sending them out end of FEB we also have a 'B' list so we dont want to cut it close with time

Yeah we have a B list too so we need enough time so that its not obvious.

Yeah we have a B list too so we need enough time so that its not obvious.

Same here. We figured if we sent out mid Feb, then we would have enough time to send out to our B list-depending on the A list responses.

i am ordering my next month and mailing them end of Feb i am getting married may 24 making the RSVP april 10 i wnt plenty of time for making my seating chart and for people who dont like to send them on time! lol Also since it is memorial day weekend i figured give people more notice to make plans....

I never even thought about those things. That's a good idea. I want plenty of time to see how many 'A' list people are coming/not coming, so that I have enough time to send out 'B' list invites. Mine is Memorial Day weekend too. But I never even thought about the other stuff.... seating chart, etc.... I dont' want to feel rushed with all that stuff either.

OMG I have not even thought about all this!I havent even LOOKED at invitations in the least bit figuring we have sooo much time. I better get a move on. Thanks to this site and you girls, I NOW have a clue. Im at a loss when it comes to planning my wedding. Im clueless.

making my own invitations, the A List will be sent Mid-February, I have a lot of out of the country people, so I'm not sure how fast their mailing system is over there. Want to have enough time to get all of the replies back.
