MAY BRIDES>>>>>

When is your gown arriving to the bridal shop????? I ordered mine in March '07 and they said it would arrive jan 15th. I just called today and now they said mid March I'm scared because I heard so many negative things about the bridal shop where I ordered my gown. They said is because it takes 8-10 months but HELLO!!! Am i retarded or what???? I thought if you count from march to jan is already 10 months?!?!
For those of you that ordered demetrios gowns how long did they tell you it takes? Sorry for this vent. I'm scared, sad, and worried all at the same time.

Hi ladies and thanks for all your support. I just got a call from the bridal shop and my dress is in!!! I'm so excited. I'm going thursday for my first fitting. My mom doesnt agree that I should post pics online before the wedding but I will let you know how it goes. I'm so relieved is in. I hope from now on everything else with this vendor goes smooth. I will post a review for future brides after the wedding.

i ordered mine march 07 but they told me it would arrive march 08...which is PERFECT bc you only need 2 months or less for fittings and this way they dont have to store in the store or me taking it home which i wouldnt do

It really depends on the vendor of the dress. Mine took 10 months to come in, but I knew that this designer took this long since it comes from Barcelona, Spain (its Pronovias). I would keep checking, I don't know why they would tell you Jan, if it really was a later date...sounds a little weird to me.

I LOVE YOUR DRESS... Mine is Pronovias too. I ordered it in June and it's due to come in Feb 15th 8 months later (as I love my bear said ordered from spain)

Keep checking! Maybe go in to the store in person & speak with the manager directly. Good Luck!!

I ordered mine in August 2007 and it came in last week. It was not expected till March. I am not having my first fitting till the end of March.

Don't worry!! First fitting is usually 6 to 8 weeks before so it is fine if it comes in March.

Thanks ladies. I'm trying to feel better now. I just worry because on top of regular alterations she has to add sleeves to the dress and I dont know how long that will take. It doesnt help that she has a couple of bad reviews and she actually came on this site to dispute a bad review a bride and employee of hers posted. They obviously kicked her out of here ( i dont know about the bride) but that has me a little nervous. Well, we will see what happens. thanks for the support ladies!

If you are really worried about alterations... maybe you could inquire elsewhere with a reputable seamstress that would help ease your mind?

Hey Lil..... Don't stress. I ordered my gown last March and they said my dress won't come in until end of Feb/beg. of March. Did you call the company? They can give you more of time frame!

I ordered mine in May 07 (my 1 year mark ) and it came in in November. My 1st fitting isn't until March though.

I got a demetrios and i ordered mine in May 07 and i just went for my first preview on Monday!..I wouldnt worry...they told me i dont have to to do any alterations until 3 weeks before the wedding..marrch is fine!!..DOnt worry!!

Forgot to mention- I ordered it the beginning of July (feels like a year ago )

I ordered mine in March 07 and they told me to give it ten months... bu it came in in November. So it's been sitting there since, though I went to visit once.
eta: my fittings don't start until MArch anyway, so don't panic... but maybe call the designer?

I ordered my dress from davids bridals and it was march 07 and i got mine i think or a month or two later...its been hanging up for a while.

I had a very similar problem with my gown order, I placed my order April 16th 2007 and I was expecting it to arrive this month!!! Now they are saying it will be here in April but because of the miscommunication they will try to push it to March! I have lost so much weight since then that I fear the alterations are going to be harder....I am hoping for the best for all of us in the same situation!

my dress is due in next month, but i totally wouldn't worry about the time frame for your fitting......march should be fine....my first fitting will be around mid march.
