ok so what happens after you register, you bring it with you on your wedding day and ask the officiant to sign it and mail it?

oooh this is another question: do you decide then and there whether or not you're taking his name? I am sooo on the fence with this.
but to answer yours, i'm pretty sure that's how it works.

You don't have to decide whether you are changing your name... & I believe they give you some sort of confirmation that you received your marriage license and you have to bring this with you to the ceremony (or some may require you bring it to the rehersal)? In the mail after- you will receive your real cerficate of marriage

We're going tomorrow....We're going to go in the morning and then go to lunch together....Then we have an appointment with the DJ at 6....
