may girls...

have you started looking for dresses? I'm having trouble finding the one and am worried about time..some designers take 8-12 months to arrive!
Also, when are you visiting travel agents for honeymoons?

Re: may girls...

I just posted a pic of my dress, so yes to that question... Mine will be arriving in January, which is fine with me.

We are still working out details of where exactly we'd like to go for the honeymoon - no plans to see a travel agent in the near future, we're still booking vendors. I'm interested to hear other people's thoughts on that though...

I got my dress a few weeks back. the sales lady said: 'oh wow ur dress is actually gonna arrive very fast! in 6 months!' I was shocked! that's fast???? anyways, I got it cause I loved it and it was an amazing price and I wanted to get this out of the way and concentrate on researching and booking vendors
HM we have no idea or room in our budget for, so no TA's for us for a very very long time

I am going to start looking in the next couple of weeks. I thought I had time but people keep telling me I better hurry in case it takes a while to come in. Wanted to lose weight first but that doesn't seem to be happening.

Re: may girls...

I just bought mine 2 weeks ago, but that was only because in my initial 'looking', I stumbled upon THE dress. I originally figured I'd end up ordering it in the next month or two. I would try to leave at least 9 months just to have a cushion. Why cause stress on yourself if you don't need to? Also, I wouldn't worry about wanting to wait to lose weight - even if you lose 10 or 15 pounds, you might not go down a dress size anyways, and if you do, they can always take it in.

As far as honeymoons go, we're going on ours in July because I'm a school psychologist and I have to wait until summer break! Most airlines post 9-12 months in advance - you usually can't book more than a year in advance. I'd say to go to the travel agent and let her know what you want so that she can keep an eye on things. If you book early, you can probably get a great deal. Where are you looking to go?
