I'm not in love with the ceremony room, the chapel is eh. since we are thinking of a March wedding, weather will prob not permit us to be outside, does anyone know of any indoor locations close to farmingdale? oh yea that isn't very expensive. the RH chapel isabout $700, I'd like it to be less! TIA!

What about a church? Like do you guys go to church, or have a religion you associate with? You don't have to do the whole mass, just a ceremony.

No we don't go to church and he is not religious at all, I'm nit very much either but he's almost a none believer. he hasn't been to church in prob 20 years. so church is very much out.

I got married at the Venetian Yacht Club in Babylon. What's nice about the indoor ceremony is it is in a room with all windows that look out on to the water. So even though you may not be outside you still have the view.

What dont you like? Can you add some decor and flowers to spruce it up? My ceremony space had nothing so I had my florist make an arch.

What reception hall is it?

Can they make a change? I know at Bridgeview they have a couple of diff places you can have the ceremony, indoor and outdoor.

I don't know how to explain it..... short aisle, small room ( afraid to many people should show up for ceremony and three wouldn't be enough room) the RH gives us very nice tall center pieces that thesaid they move from cerceremony space top reception space for more decor but it's still just eh.
we plan on have a Fri the 13th theme wedding, with superstitious things, like we are gonna ask them to take out thier arch, which is like tacky fake marble, and let us put our own which would be like a ladder arch way if that makes sense. maybe if I saw it done up but idk.

the sterling.
it really is a hidden gem! its a combination of Jericho Terace ( it has led up light around the whole room that the dj connect to just like jt, just not as new and fancy and 2 tvs jt has more like 4-6 in each room and led dance for with special effects and u can put any words on) there u want it to say!) and a little bit of russo on the bay, anyone that has been there or knows of the places knows it has a different entrance in each room week the big room at the sterling has on too. it's not as fancy of a place but that doesn't matter to us we just want to party and celebrate abd that is the perfect place!
I guess I could ask if there isn't another event in one of the smaller rooms if I can us one of them.....

My friend got married in the Oyster Bay Courthouse which seems near to you. See if it is right for you and there will be no fees - just the marriage license. If nothing else, you might be able to ask them if they rent our any other public structures for the ceremony or you can check local nearby museums that you might be able to tie in to the superstition theme.

Try the Historical Chapel on Jericho turnpike in either syosset. My sister got married there in 2011.

that's the only place I thought of but it looks like a church, I can hear my whole family already.....I thought u didn't want to get married in a church, this is a church u couldn't just get married in our church?????

it's beautiful and would be perfect but I wanted to stay away from the church look.

Is it the ceremony or religon on a whole? Most churches will adjust the ceremony such as taking out full mass or more modern vows. There is a Quaker meeting house in that area near the golf course

FH isn't religious at all so he doesn't want to hear about god in our ceremony, that's not sitting the church will omit lmao

The Quaker meeting house is a little building by the Bethpage golf course set back from the road it's gray.

no we agree on wanting to have kids baptized. yes that was me! it's ok I appreciate the advice but I'm on board with no church that was never my dream location for our ceremony, believe it out not out doors is what I really wanted but for cost we r going with winter wedding so outside not an option. I think part of the problem I don't love our church my uncle got married there and I wasn't impressed with what photo opps there are there.
