I am sending my STDs soon and have been going over my list. As of now, it doesn't look like we will make the guarantee. Fh's parents are only inviting about 30 people total! I am stressed out because the room will look terrible! My family will have to be split up to fill his side of the room! I know I have a year, but how much can really change in a year? Any suggestions??

Does the hall have a dif room perhaps that would accommodate less people..

How many people are you under?
Can you talk to your catering hall and see if they would be able to accomodate a smaller party?
You could invite more co-workers or extended family, people with guests, the parents of the bridal party.
Also as we got closer to the date, we thought of more people to invite that we forgot about.

Don't worry...your reception hall will space everyone out. Do you have to have a your side/his side of the room?

In a year you'll find alot more people to invite, or remember those you never even thought of in the 1st place!

my list has grown considerably now that we're getting closer. my mom originally had 55 people, now she's up to 82!!
if you don't see your list growing, can your hall move you to a smaller room?? if you're under headcount maybe your hall will let you purchase extras (carving station, cocktail hour station) instead of having to pay for uneaten dinners - that's what our hall does.

i hope my list grows... my mom keeps telliing me people i dont need to invite...but on the other hand you do make new friends, and yoiu can always invite more coworkers!
