Have you spoken to your hotels about the conditions since the hurricane? I havent called yet, but I assume they are going to tell me everything is fine. Any info?

emailed my ta and she said they are still getting info on all of the hotels status and what dates they will re-open. i told her if i needed to rebook i would rather do it now then later.
some of the hotels will re-open in jan or feb.
just got this off of the palace resorts website
Palace Resorts - Operational Updates October 23, 2005 Hurricane Wilma, now a category 2 storm with winds near 100 mph , is moving away from the Yucatan Peninsula towards South Florida. Communication with the resorts is not possible at this time due to power outages and flooding throughout Cancun and Riviera Maya. Once weather permits and is safe for employees to visit the area, we will be able to provide more accurate information on the damages caused to any of the Palace Resorts in the area by hurricane Wilma. All of Palace Resorts guests are safe at the Moon Expo Center and Aventura Spa Expo Center.
Due to the threat of Hurricane Wilma to South Florida, it is uncertain at this time if the Miami office will open on Monday, October 24, 2005. We will continue posting more information as it becomes available

el dorado royale is re opening in november so I am sticking with the HM plans for now.
