Maybe I am being sensitive..but dont people have manners?
I have noticed, one more than one ocassion, I have been FM'ed by other future brides on here, asking me a question about HM, favors, etc, and when I reply.....they dont even have the courtesy to reply back with a simple 'thank you'.
Maybe I am being sensitive...but whenever I FM someone on here..I am sure to FM back , with a thanks...
I just thought replying with a quick 'thanks' would be a common courtesy. Like I said, maybe I am too sensitive..but it kinda pisses me off.

OMG, this happens to me ALL the time! Many times it is not even a 'Hello' to begin the FM. Just starts right in with the question...no 'Thank You' to end. I may sound like a biatch, but I just don't answer those people at all...if you are not going to be polite and say Hello and Thank You or something, I am not going to get back to you!

Thank you!! I thought maybe I was a little uptight or something!! You dont know how mad it gets me! I actually like sharing whatever info I have, it makes me happy to help out another bride in whatever way I can. I always respond as soon as I get a FM....and people dont even appreciate it...I feel like telling them to FK off!!
Thank you!! My feelings feel validated now!

i never really noticed if people have said thank you or not or introduced themselves properly... i guess that means it doesnt bother me...

it doesn't bother me when people don't respond with a separate 'thank you' FM
BUT if there's no thank you in the original FM they sent AND no thank you after, i do get upset as well

I notice, but sometimes I do it myself, so in all honesty it doesnt really bother me too much.

Yeah, I agree Ang. I never notice - if I can help I am more than happy to - I live on LIW anyway so why not?

doesn't bother me either..I never really noticed..I am not on LIW every second of the day...so I guess if I do use the FM feature to exchange info, i would hope that we can exchange the info needed and then be on our merry way..no need for extra FM's with just 2 words in it.....

Nope, that pisses me off, too!
Another thing that really bothers me, is when you hold the door open for someone and they just walk on through without saying thanks... or when the person in front of you let's the door slam in your face. It's SO easy to be nice, stop being so lazy!

Re: Maybe I am being sensitive..but dont people have manners?
I have noticed this before. At the begining I was gettng tons of FM for being on such a tight budget. I shrugged it off. But now I realize it may not really be their fault entirely.
For instance. I received answers to some FMs today and I can open them but for some reason I can´t reply or send FMs out. I have problems with the FM on an off all the time. I think its something with my computer. So it may be just that as well. I´m sure they´re greatful for the help. I know I am when I get answers.
And just in case for those of you who may have replied in the last day or two I will take this time to say 'Thank You!!'

Re: Maybe I am being sensitive..but dont people have manners?
I guess I kind of view it the same way I do with work e-mails. I just don't notice, really.
For example, if someone at work e-mails me something that I need, I don't always reply 'thank you' via e-mail. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't.
I do, however, ignore FMs that I've gotten from people I don't like.

ITA. If the person took the time to answer your FM, you should make the time to reply with a simple Thank you.

ITA. There've been some FM's that I went over in beyond in providing responding information, and it does somewhat annoy me when I don't get any acknowledgement in return. Oh well.

Agreed! I can't stand it when i take my time to give a long, well thought out answer to someone inquiring about something and I don't even get a simple thank you. Not to say that has happened to me a lot, but it has happened on occassion.
