We had this topic on the boards before. I forgot what everyone said but I thought they were both the same.

groomsmen are the equivilant to bridesmaids and ushers escort single ladies down the asile to their seats before the ceremony starts and nothing is going on

you don't have to, my brothers are all teenagers and not groomsmen, so we wanted to give them a job. As a woman, I usually would rather escort myself or have my man escort me down the aisle at most weddings.

Okay, I never understood that. I guess if there were some men of the family not in the wedding we can give them that job.. I'm trying to think of who we would ask. Thanks though. I'm not going to stress it

I think im going to do this too.....my brother and i are 8 years apart and not exactly close...fh has a lot of friends...and i wasnt about to make him leave one out so he could have my brother who he is not that close with.....but at least this way i can have him included without him feeling left out!
