Maybe I'm just too sensitive right now...

But mean people really do suck...

I know that everyone has their bad days but geezzz!!

As some of you know, I'm relatively new to this company... I'm a legal secretary, a floater to be exact (to those who don't know, a floater is basically an in house temp that covers for secretaries out on vacation, sick, etc.). Well, I have been on the same desk all week, sitting next to 4 other secretaries and only 1 actually says good morning or tries to engage me in conversation. The other 3 just sit in their own clique. Once today the conversation got directed my way and I actually saw one of the 3 roll her eyes at me.... like she couldn't be bothered.

I'm a legal secretary , and my bosses and I just moved to this firm a little over a year ago. I loved my old firm, it was a much nicer environment . Here I feel 'out of the loop' and totally shunned from the rest of the other girls..even one year later The girls I used to sit near on a different floor were just horrible ... never including me, DELIBERATELY going out of their way to shun me , TELLING me when I could take a lunch hour, etc. It made me depressed all the time.

The situation is better now that we switched floors, but I still get attitude overall. Thank Goodness my bosses are cool and we get along well.. at least I have someone to talk to!

Floaters get such a raw deal, I see the way they are treated and its just not right. Chin up, I know it isn't easy but people are just mean for no reason sometimes

I hate cliques too. If she wants to behave as if shes still in junior high, thats her problem!
