May/Spring Brides- Honeymoon

So, where have/are the Spring brides honeymooning?

I was deadset on Spain but the euro is making the hotels and any spending money pretty crazy.

Although I am marrying in the summer, becuase of schedualing issues, I am taking a spring honeymoon.

The caribbean, depending on where tends to be pretty affordable during the spring (late May-early June). Just do your research and see how their weather is, and keep in mind that when it rains in the caribbean it's usually for short periods of time.

I am going to Negril, staying at the Riu Negril for a week, paying $1800 for both of us, including, hotel-all inclusive, transportation to and from airport, and airfare. Leaving end of May.

I've been to Cancun, Puero Plata-Domincan Republic, and Puerto Rico in the last few yrs and think that the best honeymoon spot would be Cancun, there is something in the air in that place

It's still not out of the question but FH is just making the argument that we should go another time when the dollar is a bit stronger and look at a place where we can stretch our money a little farther.

i definitely will write a review. Well the problem with me and fh is that we are not big beach people, he HATES the beach and i can tolerate it if i want a tan but i dont enjoy it lol. Most of the time i can barely lay an hour and i need to go do something hahaha. So bc of this we didnt pick an island. We wanted casino's and LOTS of restaurants to choose from, i wanted a place where we can just walk out whatever time at night and be able to have dozens of restaurants to pick from and do everything at our own pace instead of HAVING to be at dinner at the same time and few choices. We just want to be able to go out stroll on the streets, look at some beautiful architecture, historic sites, then stop to shop, then maybe just stop at a cafe for lunch, or stopping by some bar along the way to stop for drinks. Then even at night where we can dine when we want with lots of choices and then at night still have other things to do

So spain was suggested to me and it was perfect for what we're looking for. We're going to barcelona since we are not looking for the beach lol and want lots of activities
