That is very cool. That was what I originally wanted my cake to look like. I had every intention of having a beach themed cake, until I went to three weddings last summer that had it (covering each group of my friends). So moving on, I want to be original.

I havent been to any weddings that actually had a theme... maybe color scheme altho i rarely notice those kinda things! watch a wedding pops up outta nowhere right before mine with a beacgh theme... that would succcck

That was the annoying part, they weren't even really beach themed weddings. One took place on the beach but at a country club in RI. She had a handful of shells on the tables and the shell cake, but I would hardly call it a theme. One did it because her actual wedding was in Peurto Rico so she was tying that into her big at home reception. The third the cake was totally in left field. I was so upset because I had already booked my wedding and we knew we wanted that as our cake when I went to these weddings. One was the exact cake I wanted from the exact bakery.

This was the cake by the way, only mine wouldn't have been in green. I am posting it for anyone else still going with the shell cake that needs an idea. Its from Audreys.
