Me again!!! and of course my Honeymoon problem!

Okay, this is the last post I'm writing about my honeymoon. I have NO IDEA where we should go on our honeymoon. We really wanted to do something all inclusive - I've searched everywhere! We had our hearts set on Sandals - but do not want to go to Jamaica. We are really concerned about hurricanes (we're getting married in Oct.) sooooooo... I've searched, the Virgin Islands, Turks & Caicos, Anguilla, Aruba, Bahamas, St. Maartan, pretty much everywhere. We only have 6 nights to stay (FH job is not good with vacation)

My new thing is ANTIGUA.

Anyone ever been there? I'm particularily interested in Sandals. But I'd like to know of any place else there that might be great for a honeymoon? PLEASE HELP! Did this bother anyone as much as it's bothering me???? Or do I have some kind of honeymoon problem???

I'm sorry for all of this, but I am stuck!

HI There!

We are getting married the day before you guys, and I am really stressed about the honeymoon as well. I had been thinking that our only option was going to be Aruba, b/c of the whole hurricane thing... although, we are later in the game than those in september and earlier in october, so it isn't AS much of a threat... I have had several friends tell me that the Divi Divi in Aruba is wonderful- all inclusive. We are definitely going to look into going there as a possibility, but I really like the whole exclusively couples thing that sandals offers... Antigua is absolutely beautiful, I stopped there on a cruise once- but then again- ALL the carribean island are gorgeous!! You are not alone in your stress..when are we supposed to book the honeymoon by? How many months in advance???

We considered Antigua, and it looked beautiful, even when we flew over the island, but our travel agent said that Sandals is a little more quiet. That may be what you are looking for, but we wanted something where we could do alot.
We chose St. Lucia...Golf & Spa, and LOVED IT!!!

I do agree, all-inclusive is the way to go.
Once you have done it, you dont want to do anything else.

I've heard good things about Cuisinart and Cinnamon Reef in Antigua. From those who have been there I have heard that it is beautiful and relaxing. Plus it is so close to St. Martin you can do day trips there by ferry.

I've never been, but heard Sandals in Antigua is very nice.

I've travelled to the Caribbean in the fall, and yes-there is a chance of a hurricane passing through. Somehow, we've always been lucky and hit good weather.

You may want to look into trip insurance so that you are covered for any trip interruption costs. Read the fine print carefully-different policies cover (and don't cover) different things.

If you want to totally avoid the situation, look into Aruba, Bonaire or Curacao. I've also heard that the further south you go, the less likely chance of hurricane.

BTW-the hotels that Sasha mentioned are on Anguilla (my new favorite island!).

How about putting off your HM for a weeks? Then you can go where you want.

Re: Me again!!! and of course my Honeymoon problem!

Thanks ladies! I will consider all of my options.

slpbridetobe - I think we have time before booking the honeymoon. I don't think the flight schedules are even available now. I just want to be set on where to go this way there's no more stalling once flights are available.

Michele, I did think of putting it off, but wasn't sure if that would ruin the excitement. I mentioned it to FH once and he wasn't thrilled. Thanks, though.

I've heard great things about Antigua!!!
I've heard the same- and better things about Anguilla. They're both beautiful, friends have said that Anguilla was a little bit nicer.

We have the same wedding date- I think we'll be fine w/ the hurricane season I like to say it, so it actually happens!
