Me and my mom just crashed someone's wedding!

...to see and hear The Royal Brass live and in person!
We got there 1/2 hour before the ceremony was to begin so we could see and hear them, and they were AWESOME!
Unfortunately, mom and I felt so ridiculous sitting in the back of the church...people kept looking at us! And when the bridesmaids started coming down, we felt SO OBVIOUS and felt like EVERYONE IN FRONT was looking at the 2 little people sitting by themselves alllllllllll the way in the back of the church...we were so nervous,we forgot to pay attention to hearing the Royal Brass play! And when the bride came down the aisle...we BOOKED OUTTA THERE when everyone was looking at her when she got to the front of the church....

BUT...I did get to hear them and they were AWESOME! Not overbearing or loud in any way...not like BLARING or anything.....

Too funny! My FH and I have crashed 3 to hear Royal Brass in person! The first 2 were not playing with the organist and the third we crashed was with the church organist and I got chills. Turns out I crashed a LIW gals wedding. After she posted pictures I was like 'Oh my GOSH that was the wedding we went too!' It was funny. I FM'ed her and she was cool with it. I even took pictures of the royal brass while I was there and the bride. So I sent her my pictures. Yes we are NUTTY!!!! I pretend I fit it. I even took communion when I went and walked up and just smiled like I belonged there. OMG I am laughing now just thinking about it...haha.

ETA: Church weddings are open to the public. Royal Brass told us this when we wanted to hear them play. I still felt funny though.

See, I didn;t know they were open to the public! I felt SO EMBARRASSED and I'm like 'mom, we're going to hell for this one!' hahaha
The WORST part was when the bride came in and we didnt know whether to stand up or stay seated, so we kinda did this wierd sit-stand-sit thing at first. LOLOLOL.....OMG. We made ourselves more obvious. We should have sat with everyone else...so we would fit in. LOL.
I wonder if it was a LIW bride?
It was at St. Philip Neri in Northport.....GORGEOUS church, BTW

We booked them for our wedding, but we aren't telling anyone. It is going to be our little surprise for our guests!

Same here. It's even going to be a surprise for my FI since my Mom and I went to see them after he had already shipped out. We were so impressed with how they sounded.

What do they charge? If I may be so bold to ask... I heard them also. They were great.

$400 for 2 trumpeteers for 30 minutes before the ceremony, playing during the ceremony with the church organist, and 30 minutes after while the guests are leaving. My FH really liked them and told me he wanted to have them. At first I thought we didn't need it but after hearing them in the church it gave me goose bumps!

oohhh boy...

Well, what were you wearing when you crashed?

In some of my wedding photos, when I'm just coming into the church and starting to walk down the aisle, you can see this woman in the back pew, sitting by herself. She was wearing a red sweater...so, you can't miss her against the brown pews...

I tried to have a 'no thrills' kind of ceremony, so I really shouldn't have had any crashers...
