FH and I moved into our co-op in roslyn. Its been 2 weeks and it still feels like we are on vacation.. It does not feel like home yet... anyone else has that or had that feeling? like your playing house?? lol

Congrats! DH and I live in a co-op complex in Roslyn too! It took a long time to get used to it. DH already lived here when I moved in so it was very bachelor padish. Bring in elements that represent you. It helped me.I never lived in an apartment before so that took getting used to as well. Living 3 miles from my parents helps too. Good luck and enjoy!!

oo i wonder if we are neighbors...
i love the fact that i can walk to train for work in the morning, and we are close to both sets of parents..
I guess it is a little weird for me because I also lived in a house, and in Queens where it was super nosier. Here its super quiet!

Last August FH and I moved in to our apt. At first it feels weird and you miss 'home' but eventually you build the home together. It's normal to feel how you are feeling and as time goes on you and FH will build memories there and in no time it will be your home...

Congrats!! Yes for us it felt like that and sometimes it still does. I guess when your so happy you feel like you are in a place like on a vacation.

Look at all these LIW Roslynites! I had no idea lol! I've lived here my whole life. It's so convenient it's not even funny! The train, the highways...My parents live 4 blocks from our townhouse lol. We should all go to Besito for cocktails one night!!! Congrats on moving in!! It will take a little time, but you'll get yourself acclimated and the place will take on your influence! It can take a little time to get used to an apartment if you're used to a house. I'm still not that used to living in a townhouse environment (connected houses). I grew up in an old Victorian with land around it, and being sandwiched is definitely different lol.

if you are comfortable right away- and feel like you're on vacation- Thats an aweseome sign!
We moved in 4 mths before we got married (not by choice) and i was so so worried- but after 4 months were still relaxed and feel like were on 'vacation' even with the daily cleaning and cooking!
I think its an awesome awesome sign!

yeah we are both getting there.. until i wake up in the morning and im like wait i have to clean the apartment? wheres my mom?? maaaaa o wait i have to make coffee.. its a real wake up call.. lol
