Me in my gown (BRIAN NO PEEKING!!!) Need Advice (see jewelry on page 2)
Original post by BriBri529
Decided: smaller tiara, no gloves . . .
NOW WONDERING ABOUT MY JEWELRY . . . see page two for necklace and earrings
In the picture I am wearing a random tiara, a fingertip veil, a cathedral length veil w/ rhinestones, and a blusher. The only thing that is mine right now is the dress. I need advice in regards to what length veil(s) I should wear. Do you think a cathedral length veil will take away from the detail on my train? I am bad at this Thanks!!!

I would suggest, no gloves, smaller tiara if any and a very simple, plain veil, smaller or very flat and long. You really want the focus to be on the dress and less distracting with the accessories, The dress is very gorgous and there is a lot of dress so don't overdo the accessories.

BEAUTIFUL GOWN!!
I say JMO: -keep the tiara - I love it, I don't think its big -maybe no gloves -and as for the veil - not sure, because if you want a dramatic look I say got for the cathedral length, but then again it covers up the work that you all around the dress? -- but then again you can wear detachable cathedral and have the other layer like elbow for your blusher?
I have work on my train and the girl in BR made a good point I shouldn't cover it up, so I got an elbow lenght veil.
And anyway I would want people to look at the waist up and plus most of the pictures are from the waist up too.

I would do a subtle, petite tiara (or none at all), no gloves and no necklace. I would also do a simple drapey (not poofy) cathedral veil. The tiara you have on in the pic is way too big. Your dress has alot of detail on it, you need to keep your accessories very understated or it will be too much and it will take away from your dress.
Totally agree.

Beautiful!!!
In my opinion, since your dress is so gorgeous and detailed, I would go with more minimal accessories - a smaller tiara, dainty earrings, and no necklace (or maybe something very simple). For the veil, maybe a simple cathedral length, without rhinestones.
Of course, the only thing that matters is what you think. So the best advice I can give you is to try on a bunch of different style tiaras, veils, and jewelry with your dress and choose whatever You like best!

I plan on wearing this necklace
and these earrings
I thought they accented my dress well, but now I am concerned that it may be too much

I just wanted to tell you that your dress is absolutely beautiful. You look stunning in it.
As far as the tiara, I agree with the other posters. You need one that picks up the details of your dress without overpowering.
I didn't see the jewelry you added until now. It's beautiful. I doesn't seem like it would over power the dress. (It's hard for me to say without seeing them together.) But if you wear it, don't wear a tiara.

JMO: I like the tiara. If you have an extravagant dress like that (and I mean that in a good way, it's beautiful) a small tiara will look lost and no one will draw their eyes to it. You do not need a cathedral veil with it because the back is so detailed. I bought one with my dress but I have a ball gown with absolutely no decor past the waistline, in order to perk things up a bit. You don't need gloves, sorry JMO I hope I don't sound like a snot I think you should use some kind of elegant necklace. Maybe something sparkly yet simple, that blends with the tiara. GOOD LUCK!!!!

I just saw the jewelry, that's exactly what I meant...very pretty. Although after what the last bride said maybe that's a good idea too. Either the tiara or the necklace...not sure would have to play around with it. Are the women in your bridal store good at that sort of thing, they usually have good opinions.
