I am going tomorrow to check out the meadow club but I heard that they only order a certain amount of bottled beer for your reception and once its gone your guests get tap beer. Is this true??

Re: meadow club in pt. jeff
I am getting married there and havent heard anything like that. I also know two people who were married there in the past 2 years and none had a problem with running out of beer. however I will say that at many of the receptions I have been too the majority of the beer is from a tap and I have never found this to be a problem! I think its rather nice to see people walking around with glasses of drinks as opposed to beer bottles! Good Luck!
Ralph, our Banquet Manager, is a riot! The place is great and the price cant be beat for the quality and quantity IMO. I just went to a showcase there and the food was delicious!

I am having my wedding there next Oct. and I have never heard of that. I know about 10 people who got married there and they had no complaints. I am working with Lori there and she is great. I went to a showcase over the summer and that's what made our decision for us, we missed the last showcase, but plan on bringing our families to the next one to see it. When you see them tomorrow, dont hesitate to ask them your question, that's what their there for, to help you.

Re: meadow club in pt. jeff
Our reception was last August at The Meadow Club, and we had no problems with running out of beer. I have never heard of a catering hall just ordering a specific amount of any alcohol for one party, unless specifically asked to order it.
We had a wonderful experience with The Meadow Club with Lori & Ralph and the enitre staff, and recommend them whole heartedly.
We paid $85 (that's including tax & gratuity) for their best menu (includes filet mignon and Vienesse hour, and free limo service which we used for our honeymoon) on a Sunday night.

I've never heard of that either. The only thing I know about their beer is that they serve the mini bottles of all their beers and they only serve domestic. (this may have changed since I looked at it last year).

I don't know if that's true....but my cousin had her wedding there and while the food was ok, it was nothing to be exicted about. A co-worker just went to a wedding there a few weeks ago, and again, said the wedding was a little lackluster. I'm not trying to bring you down....just repeating what I've been told.

I am having my reception there and I didn't hear anything about the beer being tap. I love it there, everybody is so nice and it was very reasonable.
