measuring for shades

i have to windows next to each other and if i wanted 2 seperate shades how would i measure it

i know how to measure for one but not 2

do i just go to the beginning and end of each window

what kind of shade are they?

is it a roller type shade or roman shade?

or is it something like blinds that you need to cover both windows?

We just got blinds (not shades)..we have two windows next to each other and at blinds to go they told us to measure each window seperately.
