Had my 30 week appt last night and apparently I'm measuring a bit small. I'm 2.5 cm behind where I should be - the dr said they don't worry until you're 4cm behind and that my sonogram in 3 weeks would confirm all was on target. But of course, I'm stilla bit worried - did this happen to anyone else and did you wind up having to be on bed rest or having a very small baby??

At my 36 week sonogram last week, they told me my baby's waist was measuring small. I saw a specialist and he said at this point, everything should be fine because if they had to, they could deliver the baby at anytime. I have no other indications that there are any problems and he is most likely just a small baby. Today I am 37 weeks and I go for another sonogram next week to check the growth. I am not on bedrest but he did restrict my activities.
At your next sonogram, they will take measurements and that will tell them how the baby is growing and they will approximate the weight. The measurement of the uterus is not always accurate.
Try not to worry - since you are already 30 weeks chances are the baby is just small or they would have noticed something sooner. Make sure you ask a lot of questions so you understand what they're telling you. FM me if you have any specific questions and I'll see if I have any other info for you.

That happened to me too at my 36 week sonogram. They said the baby was measuring 43 weeks. Well lo and behold, my baby boy came 1 day after my due date. I wouldn't pay too much attention to it.

That happened to my sister whe she was pregnant ALL 3 TIMES....at the end they would say she is measuring small each baby was perfect, 1st was 7 12,second was also 7 12 & 3rd was 7 8, so not worry about it at all

my sister measured small....but he is anythign but small now.
just keep in mind that there is an average and its only natural for some women to be on the smaller side of average or the larger side.
