Does anyone have a b12 deficiency?... I was diagnosed with it months ago and now recieving injections monthly. Ive gone through bloodwork and an endoscopy and they cant seem to find a cause.. Not to mention hypothyroidism.

well a few months back I keep getting headaches and I was feeling tierd...just run down. My dr. ran some blood test and it came back really low. He told me to take over the counter supplements and return in a few days, When I went back they repeated blood work and my level dropped even lower. So he decided to start me on injections.. so to answer your question....bloodwork ..lol

My mom is the office manager for a pediatrics office and she told me they give them to a lot of her patients. I tire easily and she was saying she wondered if I would benefit from them. I have hypothyroidism, too.

my FSIL was just diagnosed with this. I don't have too much info on it though- we're still learning.

Thanks for the reply's, I know b12 deficency usually shows up in the elderly along with Anemia, However I dont have anemia (which is good) but they cant find a cause. The doctor told me not too worry because I am getting the injections and that more and more young american's are being diagnosed every years whether it's from poor eating habits (not enough iron) or genetics...? they dont know... The dr doesnt seem to think it's linked to hypothyroidism.

Have you checked you TSH lately? maybe that's the cause of you being tierd...

I had every symptom but weight gain. I was diagnosed in college and I was actually the thinnest I'd ever been. I'm actually waaaay over due for bloodwork. I gotta see where my levels are at.

are you taking synthroid? You should definitly have a thyroid panel done
