Hi, my FH and I are thinking of having a Medieval Masquerade theme for our recpetion. we are both part of a medieval reinactment society (but I dont want the full wedding that way, I want pretty pretty princess day lol).
I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to make this happen, what kind of favors would you recommend and where would fit the theme for a RH.

My husband and I are medievalist too. We just had a medieval wedding (however we went for the full theme.) Go to www.museumreplicas.com its a wonderful website!!! I found my BM dresses there and my GM clothing there too. If you don't want to have your whole bridal party in garb there are many other options you can do. If you have any questions at all please FM. Here are my place cards. I made them myself. But they were a big hit. My favor was CDs of medieval music. But you can do mini wine bottles, castle place cards, candles, etc...
That is funny my bestfriend is doing that in a year or two. renting out a castle somewhere in conn. or rhode island. Hiring out some actors from the renn faire to walk around and everyone has to be in costume ( ball gowns, tux, renn. wear, etc) i can't wait to be invited to this.

Oh we had a ball at our wedding. It was something different and it gave a touch to our wedding that no one would ever forget. LOL
