Mediterranean HM?

Mediterranean HM?

We're thinking of doing two weeks, the first week doing a Mediterranean cruise and the second week staying in Italy or France or Spain for a couple of nights each... anyone else doing anything similar and have any recommendations or tips? I usually plan all my own trips, but this will be a big one so I'm thinking of using a travel agent. Just wondering what others going to Europe are doing... I would love to go to Italy again but I've been twice and if i go and don't visit relatives I might get hunted down and SHOT but I don't really feel like doing that on my HM, so it's not necessarily on the top of my list - though Sicily is supposed to be amazing. Any tips are appreciated!

Im planning on a Greece/Italy and another European Country for my HM. FH and I will plan it, we are not going through a travel agent

We're doing a Greek/Med cruise which leaves from Venice. It's a 1 week cruise. We got GREAT prices on Cruisecompete.com. Definetely check the site out.

We're planning on leaving early to spend a few days there as well. But probably no more than 2-3 depending on FH's work schedule.

We are going to Mykonos, Santorini and Athens. I am planning it myself and have found tripadvisor.com to be very helpful.

amalfi coast is amazing - i went there 7 years ago. It's a great honeymoon spot too and the food is sooo good! But the food is good everywhere in Italy

good to know thank you, food is very important hahaha

I would also love to stop in other parts in Italy but gotta see how much time we have, would even love to go to calabria bc that is where fh's family is from and he has never been there, so would love to at least squeeze that one in. FH's parents went last year, his dad left when he was 10 and it was his first time back in 40 something years and the first time his mom went. They got to visit the house his father grew up in

You should definitely go. My parents were both born in sicily and went back for the first time after like 20 years two years ago... they had a blast; talk about nostalgia. It's great over there - the people are SO friendly (especially further south, no offense to northern italians) and calabria will be beautiful and different since it's a little bit off the beaten path.
