I watched it. And I thought the same thing about her daughter. I knew it was Oscars' child. But, when you take a woman w/ a child you MUST take on the child as well.

Maybe Oscar didn't want her on much? Who knows.

Is it just me or is she a TAD annoying?? (the wife?)

I saw this the other night too (hey, I'm jonesin for somethign to replace my Newlyweds fix!) and I have to say I was really sad the whole time watching it and just annoyed and angry when it was over. First of all - the show started with a recap of thier drunken antics from the previous night - since they couldn't rememebr what happened. Then Travis barfed and his wife laughed outside the door. So then they wake up at 12 I guess and someone brings in thier kids - yeah, the baby is soo cute, but why was that sweet little girl just left on the sidelines like that?? I mean, they hardly paid any attention to her and barely mentioned her at all! It broke my heart to see how she is so obviously not as valued by her parents - at least that was the way MTV was slanting it...intentional or not?

Okay, then that house they move into.... Aside from teh fact that it's absolutely HUGE and looks just liek the one they already were living in - Who shows up to their new house no moving day WITHOUT THE KEY!?!?!? I'm ditsy at times too, but that the he[[ is this girl's problem?! Then she falls asleep on the floor and asks the movers to find her a pillow?!? She comes off like a real flake on this show, like all she knows how to do is get drunk, have sex, and look cute for her rock star husband....

I'm not even going into the smokeout Travis had before their meeting with the wedding planner.... Hi, YOU'RE GETTING STONED ON TELEVSION!!! C'mon kids, lets watch MTV and learn how to be deadbeats.....


Why is MTV promoting this garbage? This was one of the worst shows I've ever seen in my entire life AND I don't like it bc his wife LOOKS LIKE ME!!!!!!!!!! I've had five people tell me already and I'm not taking it as a compliment....

Okay, vent over! It just depresses me to think of the thousands of kids who are watching this glorified garbage.

I feel like just e-mailing MTV with my post above as an angry letter. I know networks are bloodthirsty when it comes to new reality shows, but I think they're trying to reinvent the wheel that started with Jess and Nick's success. Taht worked becaseu it was sweet and they were real.... Meet the Barkers is just a sad and really shameful attempt at getting more viewers. I would be embarassed to promote something like this, these people obviously have no concern for moral values and could obviously care less what they are presenting to their millions of younger viewers, as long as it makes money...

I'm honestly so disgusted with this show, I'm no prude, but I think this show is so tasteless and just shameful. If I were a mother, I would never let my kids watch MTV bc of this.
