Meeting Minutes

Meeting Minutes

I am trying to find a book/class for an assistant of mine and am hoping you ladies could help.

She needs guidance on how to take effective meeting minutes. I've done searches on bn.com and amazon.com and haven't found anything specifically addressing this issue. I've contacted a few colleges for class info and am waiting for feedback. Our office is in W. Suffolk.

Can anyone refer me to a book/course that might be useful? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Check out Career Track (Fred Pryor too), AMA-American Management Association is really good but pricey.

Re: Meeting Minutes

I guess there are books on everything but that would probably qualify as the most boring book ever written :D

As a suggestion - you could do a version of the minutes you want her to create for one of your meeting so she can see what she needs to capture and how AND hook her up with another admin that knows how to do this effectively. Im sure shell catch on after that.

Re: Meeting Minutes

Call Katharine Gibbs. They give out secretarial handbooks to all their graduates on how to do almost everything in the office. They might be willing to sell the book. It's a great reference tool.
