did you guys meet your photographer- or did you book and let the vendor handle it?
I wished I could have met my photographer..he wasnt in when I could make it to the studio..but I am going by what alot of people say that he is great to work with..I did look at his work exclusively while at the studio..and will meet him soon. I know that I will love him, but they did tell me that if I didnt, I could switch photographers. (Im with Patken) If Patken hadnt come so highly recommended, I probably would have waited to meet him first before I booked..I had met with a few other photographers and I do think its important to meet them. One guy that I truly loved his work was out of town when I went in.his assistant couldnt answer my questions and that kind of blew the deal..he should have been there. I probably would have booked him.
i think its important to meet the photographer once before the day so that you feel comfortable with them.... thats why most places give you an engagement shoot
One of our criteria in booking our photographer was to actually meet the person first. We wouldn't have booked someone we were not allowed to meet.
