Meeting the President...

I just got a confirmation from my FH. We're meeting President Bush & Mrs. Bush on Monday. My FH is going to invite him to our e-party.

Who knows, maybe he'll show up... (FH's logic)

WOW that's cool, I think...if only b/c you are meeting the President....whether or not you agree with his politics!!

I work FOR the Fed, and I probably will NEVER meet him...

unless of course I become Sec. of State (my goal in life!)

My FH is in the Marine Corps, and it's because of the type of work he does. Unfortunately I can't give too much detail on that, but it's a big honor for him, and I'm very happy for him!

He's so excited about it.

Wow- that's great. My brother is in the Marines as well. Where is your FH stationed? Has he served over seas? My bro is stationed in Camp LeJeune and has done 2 tours in Iraq. Thankfully, he's about to get out after his 4 years. God bless your FH (and ALL of our ARMED FORCES )

Right now he's in Quantico, VA. He in not deployable as of yet, due to the job he has. But in June he is being restationed to Miramar, CA and will be deployable. He's been prepping me for the inevitable news that he's going overseas .

My bro was almost restationed to Cali to teach at the school there....but since he was almost done, he didn't want to extend. When and if he is deployed, if you need anything, I'll be around. I know what it's like to have someone you love over there....again, God Bless

Wow, that's an awesome honor! Just to meet him, even if you don't agree with him. Congrats to you both!! We're praying for all of those who serve in the armed forces. Thank you!

Well, I am a BIG HUGE fan of the President and if I ever got to meet him, I'd be sooo excited! Congrats!

I read someplace on here that if you send the president an invitations you do get some sort of gift I don't remember what the perosn said it was I think its a certificate and same goes for the pope as well.
