i have a weird question, i have a 2 yr old son ( on aug31st) should i bring him or should i leave him home with my parents?, i dont want to ask them and then they feel obligated cuase i am meeting him at his home, should i bring cake or something any help i would apprciate it thanks!!

I'm honestly not sure because we just met the priest at the church and we didn't bring anything but maybe cake would be a nice idea. Since you are going to his house, and the fact that you thought of it at all is very nice - go with your instincts. I don't see anything wrong with bringing your son if you do not want to ask your parents. From what I hear, your officiant is really going to get to know you these next few months and what better way to get to know you than to get to know a very important member of your family? I guess I would probably let him/her know ahead of time though and of course explain to the little guy to be on his best behavior for Mommy (but that really goes without saying, I am sure you would do that anyway
