Re: Meeting w/ florist in few hours...am I missing anything??
sorry this probably isnt what u need right now but just so you know theres a book that the knot put out called wedding flowers. its really great for showing you the different flowers, the meanings, the price and what time of year they are in season. ( just incase the florist tries to bs you or just to show them you know what your talking about)
ask how many people are working on the arrangements? when do the flowers come in? when will they be done by? when will they be delivered?

do you really want corsages? Make sure those people will want to wear them. You may want to think about tiny bouquets or tussy mussy type bouquets. I know my mom refused a corsage and I don't think our reader (30 year old female) would wear it either. Just a thought. Grandmothers love them though

Go in with photos and ideas or you will be overwhelmed. I know this may be late but cancel if you are not ready. Do not book anyone on the spot. If they offer a sweet deal to sign today - they are scam artists. Never leace a cash deposit Don't book without seeing 3 florists. Don't restrict yourself to what they have displayed.

Bring pictures of your dress, your BM dresses, and your MOH and MOG dresses. John from Flower Michele wanted to see all too.

Good Luck! When you get back, could you let me know what flowers are in season in January? I have been wondering that same thing and I haven't met with any florist yet. Thanks!

lianemarie - I just got back and to be honest I didn't even talk in season...I was going to but I already knew what I wanted my bo-k to look like and we worked everything else off of that. I wanted all deep red roses with a few dark mini calla lilllies (sp??)..with that, we decided to make the MOH bo-k and all the BM's bo-k's roses also...the BM's all white and the MOH mostly white with a few red. I didn't even have to ask about seasons b/c roses are always in season! If you have any other questions, pls let me know! Good luck!

I actually went with your suggestion and met with Flowers by Emil because he is right in my neighborhood. Carmine was AMAZING! He was so helpful, prices were very reasonable, and I was very pleased. I am so glad that I don't have to go meet with anyone else! I am going to sign the contract next week! Thanks for the advice!
