Meeting w/ Flower Michele

I have an appt with John from Flower Michele this weekend....I have no idea of my color scheme (haven't picked out the BM dresses yet), but have ideas of types of flowers I like. Is that ok or am I meeting with him too early?

That's fine. When we met with him I had no clue of the color of my BM gowns. I knew that I wanted roses and he said we could determine the exact colors later on.

Not sure if it's too early, but you won't be able to pick out the flowers that you want, so he won't be able to give you a price. You can however, get to see their work. John is great and very detailed, you will love him!

You can go to see what your can get for your budget.. and if thats what works for you.

You can finalize on the colors later.

When I met with John from Flower Michele, I had absolutely no clue what I wanted. He is a true artist and will get an idea of your likes and dislikes and based on that come up with a vision. You have absolutely nothing to worry about.

What you could do is look through the flower threads on LIW and choose what centerpieces, bouquets, etc. that you like.

When you show these pictures to John, you can ask how much would something like that be, and then you can get a sense of what your flower budget will be.

That's what I plan to do when I start seeing florists this week.

Met with John over the weekend....and you were all right. He is awesome! I loved all of his ideas. He knew exactly what I wanted and gave me a decent price quote. I think I am going to be booking him this week....

I met with him last night not knowing what i wanted either. First he asked me about my dress & the colors of the wedding party(which i don't totally have set yet either) and he goes from there. Nothing is set in stone either if you change your mind. Don't worry about it! He has a great personality too.

John is great...I went to him with hardly any real image in my head of what I wanted and he worked with me. Good luck and have fun!

OMG I loved John. I just booked him over the weekend! He made me so excited for the flowers, I can't wait to see all of the different colors. He is also going to take the extra material from my BM dresses and wrap that around the bottom of their bouquets.

Yes! I love his whole 'interview' process.....he really wants to help you establish the look of the wedding....

Just came back from meeting with Michelle. She is really great and offered some really great ideas. I like the fact that she listened and wasn't pushy like some other florist I went to. Flower Michele def. has my vote.

I'm meeting with Michele at Flower Michele this weekend. I'm really excited. Most of the comments were of working with John...anyone else have stories to share about Michele's expertise, etc? Thanks!

I met with Michele today. She was wonderful. So patient with me being that I am so picky. Gave me some good ideas. I just have two more florist to see. So far I am very impressed with her.
