meeting with florist

I met with a florist in FL but they have a location in NY called Dalsimer and they put togethr a centerpiece for me which was gorgeous but I asked him what could I do to lower the price. 165/ table.....I even asked him what would be the price of the candle centerpiece with the orchid and floating candle and he told me that it would be ugly in floral terrace ( he used to work in the NY office) because he wanted me to get the cp for 165. He has been calling me asking when am I going to book ...I want to tell him that I don't won't o use him b/c I don't feel comfortable but I don't want to be rude. Anyone had experiences with that company

Sorry, I do not. They called me not too long ago, and I told the man I was running out the door at the moment and could not speak. He started hounding me for when I was going to be getting back, and when can I come in for an appointment.

I didn't like their over the phone personality and did not contact them afterwards.

yea and their personality inthe Florida office is horrible too.....

If you didnt book with a florist - try flowers by gina -my centerpieces are gorgeous has to be at least 5 dozen flowers in them (callas, roses & gerbers with some hydrangea) like $115 each. Shes great!

That's crazy! He sounds extremely unprofessional. Plus, $165 for a centerpiece is A LOT!

I guess because theyare such a big company and has alot of locations in different states. I thought it was convient since I couldn't travel back and forth to NY to book my florist esp. with a 4 mth old. I thought he was crazy too and he would't even try to go lower so I'm just letting u girls know don't go to Dalsimer in LI....they might be just as rude and pushy....to me felt like he was almost insulting me because I told hi I was on a budget.
