Meeting with Photog

So we are meeting with a photog on sunday morning...i know to ask about getting the rights to my pictures and how long will the photog will be there on the day of...But is there anything else that is SUPER important to ask that i am foretting...

(i can care less about how many pictures he takes as long as its around 1000, like most photogs...)

Also is there a price range that anyone has that they can share?

I've gotten so many price quotes its crazy...anywhere from $4000-6000 (that includes video though too!!) It depends on the place, what you get, and how many photographers they are giving you.

Are thank you notes included? If so how many?

Engagement shoot?

Any prints?

How much are parent albums?

How many hours?

If we go over the time, how much is it additional?

If you are looking for albums, what kind of albums do they do?
Do they charge extra for edits?
How much for an engagement shoot, or is it included?
how many photographers and for how long?
How many locations does the contract include (some include 3, if you start going to 4 or more, say home, OWG, church, then hall, they start charging extra)
Can they write on your contract who your photographer will be?
If your photographer in the contract cant make it, what is the substitution policy?
How long for proofs?
DVD of Proofs or actual pictures?
If its a DVD, what quality?

Ask to see samples of the photographers work

For under 5k after tax we are getting
2 photographers
engagement shoot
couple album
parent albums
all proofs
dvd of 500 of the best pics
all editing
signature board for the day of (instead of guest book)
Video
3 DVD's with 5 chapters each
Enlargements

I am actually looking at photographers on Saturday. It does seem that everything runs between 4 and 5K.
I would also ask about online proofs. Are they capable of posting them and how fast.

$4000 2 photogs, 1 video guy (all there for 10hrs), album, 500 prints, dvd of all photos, and a bunch of other little extras.

my main questions were (that i can remember)
-when the photographers would be there and how long they would stay.
-how many pics would be taken and what format i would get the proofs.
-how many pages/pictures are in the actual album and how much does each extra page cost.
-payment plan.

me too w/ photo. i am also getting video too and upgraded parent albums, though so that brings me up to a little bit under 6k

we saw so many photogrpahers. The best price we got was photo and video with albums and all the extras for 4,000 from Duet. I would not pay the 5,000 or 7,000 that others quoted us.

We are on a tight budget so we had to cut corners like with the parents albums. We may decide to add those later though. Haven't decided about video yet...

Oh I forgot to add that my photographer is awesome cause because all the editing and retouching of the pics is free. So if I have a pimple or something it won't be in my album lol...
